NEW AI ASSISTANT & AI-ENABLED TOOLS
This update’s most exciting new feature is the beta release of our AI functionality, which will continue to grow and evolve with each new version of GLX CARGO. Current features of the tool include:
Auto-population of contract qualities, and position load and discharge qualities: We’re streamlining data entry by enabling operators to leverage genAI to automatically extract quality specifications from uploaded documents (including low quality PDFs). This AI-driven process identifies quality data within a document and matches the extracted fields with the contract and/or positions load and discharge defined fields. Users approve the extracted data before it's populated into the quality fields.
Chat assistant: GLX CARGO’s new AI in-app chatbot, guides users through the system, assists with workflows and filters records based on queries. It provides clear, concise responses to questions and suggests alternative actions when unable to fulfill requests. With intelligent and secure use of Anthropic’s Claude models, GLX’s business-savvy tech team has uplifted the software significantly through prompt engineering and building an AI that is system and industry-aware. This is the beginning of GLX Cargo’s AI journey and the chatbot will continue to evolve in future releases.
NEW COMMODITY – AMMONIA
Ammonia has been added as a new commodity option and is now available to manage ammonia cargo contracts, positions, legs and nomination tasks. This showcases once again, GLX Cargo’s fit-for-purpose build as a physical commodities management system and our ability to add various commodity products with minimal customisation to workflows.
FEATURE UPDATES
View permissions: The configuration options for users and roles have been enhanced and now allows users to be assigned “view only” access for Custom Tables, Tasks, Master Tasks and Documents, enabling broader use of GLX Cargo for controlled information sharing within an organisation instead of internal emails.
Tasks in Audit Log: We’ve enhanced task tracking by adding logs based on user interactions, complementing the existing timestamp logs. This provides more comprehensive visibility into task activities for improved auditing and analysis.
‘Created Date’ added to the reporting module: “Created Date” is now available as a column selector in the Position, Leg, and Contract modules. This update has also been enabled in the Reporting module to help reduce the risk of missing cargoes in SOX reporting.
Visibility of qualities at a position level: Now, users can see a leg’s quality specs from the overarching position view to easily compare contract, load and discharge specifications, streamlining the comparison process.
Custom contract views: One of our most loved features is now available for contracts! Contract managers and operators can now create personalised contract views by adding columns and filters to best suit their workflows.
