This release delivers a major uplift to voyages and logistics, deeper integration of AI across the platform, and a host of enhancements to vessels, ports, nominations, and document management. Here’s what’s new in 2.3.0.
CONTRACTS
Charter Contracts
Freight Operators can now manage Charter-In, Charter-Out and Equity contracts directly within GLX CARGO, while optional voyage links and simplified workflows now make handling charter agreements faster and easier than ever.
Custom Contract Types
Cargo Operators now have full flexibility to model contracts and transactions beyond the standard DR, CN and GTC contract types. Contracts can be structured with parent-child relationships, and new advanced options include pricing formulas, master task integration, reporting rules, and leg attachments, all supported by GraphQL API for seamless integration.
Master Tasks for Contracts and Voyages
Automatic task creation is now supported for Contracts and Voyages. Users can set up rules that generate contract- and voyage-specific tasks based on key dates and conditions.
AI ENHANCEMENTS
AI-Powered Nomination Task Automation
Our AI now extracts key details from uploaded contracts to automatically create Nomination Tasks and Master Tasks. This reduces manual data entry and frees up valuable time, while giving users the ability to review, edit, and approve AI-generated tasks before finalising.
Smarter System Awareness
The AI engine has been upgraded with a deeper understanding of how contracts, voyages, positions, tasks, and logistics connect. This drives stronger analysis, predictions, and decision support across the platform.
LOGISTICS & VOYAGES
Voyage Enhancements
We’ve improved linkage between Voyages, Legs and Positions, and upgraded the Voyage interface for more intuitive planning and execution. Enhancements include:
· Additional data fields to capture voyage-specific details.
· Ability to link voyages to a Charter Contract, tracking both operational and commercial status.
· A new route section displaying inherited information from the associated Voyage Leg, including Vessel, Ports and Commodity.
Vessel & Port Data
New fields capture vessel classes, dimensions and port details, supporting richer data integration and future optimisation features.
ADDITIONAL ENHANCEMENTS
Contacts
A new Notes field allows users to capture and export specific information for a contact, while also being able to link Contacts directly to key entities such as Contracts, Voyages, Vessels, Ports and Terminals.
Document Preview
Microsoft Word and Excel files can now be previewed directly in GLX CARGO, complementing existing PDF and image preview functionality.
